Welcome to Streaks, a habit-tracking application designed with your privacy in mind. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the Streaks mobile application (“the App”).
1. Data Collection and Storage
Streaks is a completely offline, privacy-first application.
- No Cloud Syncing: The App does not connect to the internet to store, sync, or transmit your personal data, habits, or profile information.
- Local Storage: All data you create within the App (including your name, age, habits, streaks, and progress history) is stored locally on your device using a secure local database.
- No Analytics or Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics, crash reporting, or user tracking services that collect your data.
2. Permissions
To function properly, the App may request the following device permissions:
- Notifications: Used exclusively to deliver local, on-device reminders for your daily habits.
- Storage/Files: Used only when you explicitly choose to “Export” or “Import” your profile data to save or load a
.streaksbackup file on your device.
3. Data Export and Ownership
You have complete control over your data. You can export your profile and habits into a .streaks backup file directly to your device’s local downloads folder. Because your data never leaves your device, we cannot access, view, share, or recover it for you.
4. Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate with any external APIs or third-party servers.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Since the app is offline and we do not collect your contact information, we cannot notify you directly of changes. Any updates to this policy will be posted on this page.
